Music Monday - Days Go By

Don't get me wrong, we've had a great weekend, but it was just so busy that this song just seems perfect for Mondays like this. Oh God, please help me to savor each moment with my family and friends, please help us all to stop moving so fast.

Seeing triple?

Keep in mind that this is merely for the sake of remembering, but I had the weirdest dream last night. I haven't really had many pregnancy/baby-related dreams since the fall, but I had a whopper of one last night. I dreamed we were expecting triplets. I don't remember many specifics, but I remember that we were having two boys and one girl: Boy A (can't remember his name), Marcus Noah (yay for my Noah, not so much on Marcus) and Lucy Kate (Lucy's been on the list for a long time too). I also remember being upset because we had to name them before I gave birth and we forgot to name Boy A after Adam like we had planned.

Weird, huh? Also a little strange: got my latest "Getting Pregnant" newsletter this week. It was entitled "Your chances of having multiples." (Insert Twilight Zone music here) Anyway, I have no reason to think any of this is happening, in fact the mere thought of it is enough to schedule a tubal. I just thought it was all a little weird.

Music Monday-What Do I Know of Holy

What beautiful lyrics to capture how little we truly know of God and holiness.

the world according to Puptent: I have a Dream today

Posted by a friend of mine yesterday:

the world according to Puptent: I have a Dream today: "I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: 'We hold these truths to be self-eviden..."

Music Monday- What Can I Do?

I know I post RK songs way too much, but sometimes I just can't find anyone to say it better. I can't say in detail why this song is on my mind, simply because I don't want to start anything. However, I can say that I was in the room yesterday listening to some folks that I love say some awful things. I was furious, embarrassed, ashamed, and disgusted all at the same time, but I didn't say anything. I thought about getting up and walking out, I really did. However, under the circumstances, I was just so stunned and dissapointed to hear such hateful, non-Christian things spewing from the mouths of some of my brothers and sisters in Christ. I found myself wanting to scream, "it's 2011 and the day before Marting Luther King, Jr. Day! Do you people hear yourselves?"

Anyway, I just couldn't find the right words, and I'm guessing that's why I keep thinking of this song. What can I do? So thankful that God can change all darkness into light.

Secret Love

He constantly denies his love for her, but I think this photo says otherwise. ;)

Music Monday - In Like A Lion (Always Winter)

Ready for a new season? This is my favorite RK song ever. It's much more complex than most realize. I'm more than ready for this world to thaw, figuratively and literally.

Blazer Boys

A great shot of my Blazer boys as they returned from the truly nail-biting UAB/UTEP game. So glad we won that one after the 3 OTs!

Blah... go away!

We picked an awful year to not get flu shots. We had good intentions, but it just never worked out for us to get them. Naturally, the one year we don't get the vaccine, everyone in the stinkin' metro-Birmingham area has the flu! Arg, I'm trying so hard to keep us well, but sick folks keep coming our way. I know they mean well, but leave us the heck alone!

If I'm being honest, I feel like I've been on the verge of getting some form of it for about a week or so now. I don't feel awful, but I'll be so thankful to be back to normal. I'll spare the details and sum it up by saying that I just feel so blah right now.

So, I guess we will continue to sanitize and stay away as much as possible. I guess it won't hurt to really give the troops (white blood cells) a good inspirational talk either.

Ff is fantastic!

I already posted it on facebook, but we're talking about the letter "F" this week and I thought I'd share our project here too.

Isn't homeschooling awesome!?!? :)

Music Monday- A Long December

Okay, so I know that this isn't exactly an encouraging song, but it's a good one, nonetheless. December really wasn't all that long, but it was cold and rainy. That and all of the germs floating around have left me in a blah mood, thus giving us "A Long December" for the first Music Monday of 2011.
